This Privacy Policy describes the ways in which Personal Information about individuals (“Users”) who use this CLIMB website (the “Website”) may be collected, processed, stored and used by Ipsen Pharma SAS with an address at 65 Quai Georges Gorse, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, France (“Ipsen”), the data controller.

THIS PRIVACY POLICY MAY PERIODICALLY CHANGE, BE MODIFIED, OR OTHERWISE BE UPDATED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION. However, your Personal Information (as defined below) will always be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy that was in effect at the time of collection.

1. Personal Information Collected:

Ipsen collects Personal Information when you register to become a Member of the Website and or access or use the Website, including your name, e-mail address, phone number, city and country of residence, specialty, job title, hospital, number of year of practice, password (“Personal Information”). If you wish to become a Member of the Website, receive information from Ipsen and/or contact Ipsen, these categories of Personal Information are mandatory.

When you register as a Member, we clearly label which information is required for registration, and which information is optional and may be given at your discretion.

2. Uses of Personal Information:

Your Personal Information will only be processed for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Ipsen, namely having a better interaction with you.

More specifically, by providing Personal Information you agree that Ipsen personnel or agents will:

  • Create and administer your account, and store your personal preferences;
  • Send you service communications through email (e.g. registration, password changes, Website update);
  • Provide follow-up and reminders related to your activity on the Website;
  • Provide other Members of the Website registered as Trainers with information about you and your activity on the Website (e.g. progress of your medical education through the Website, result to quiz or other tests through the Website, registration to CLIMB offline trainings).
  • If you are registered as Trainer, provide information about you to the other Members of the Website;
  • Provide you with information we believe may be of interest to you, including without limitation email newsletters, information on modules and training, invitation to trainings.

Ipsen will keep track of the number of interactions performed, as well as their duration.

Ipsen may also ask you to answer a number of short questions, periodically to get your feedback about your level of satisfaction with this Website, or as part of the preparation to the CLIMB training sessions to which you register through the Website.

Your Personal Information will not be sold.

Ipsen, or in some cases its agents, may store the Personal Information in an electronic database. Ipsen and its agents may also exchange such data with each other, with you, or with other Members of the Website registered as Trainer, over the internet or over intranet systems, for the purposes of processing the data, mailing information to you related to the Website, mailing information to you in response to your request, or otherwise carrying out the services described above.

Ipsen may disclose your Personal Data in response to an applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if such disclosure is otherwise necessary in support of any criminal or other legal investigation or proceeding here or abroad.

3. Term of retention of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is processed and kept for no more than three (3) years from the lattest between: (i) the collection of your Personal Information, or (ii) the latest contact we have with you.

Your Personal Information will be stored on secure servers and maintained strictly confidential. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information.
